Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information is collected when you use swampcoolerguide.com (the "site") and how it is used.

Information you give us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to respond and to improve the site, and we do not sell it.

Calculators and search

Our calculators and site search run in your browser. The values you enter are not sent to us or stored by us.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records standard technical information when pages are requested, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running, and are retained only as long as needed for those purposes.

Cookies and advertising

The site may display advertising served by third-party vendors, including Google. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. Where required by law, such as for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and certain U.S. states, we will request consent before non-essential cookies are used, and you can change your choices at any time.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individuals.

Your choices and rights

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, email editor@swampcoolerguide.com.
